Tire and rim management

Post by avilla02 » Wed Feb 22, 2006 3:50 pm

Greetings everyone,
I have had my '05 S4 B6 4.2 for about a year and am looking into replacing or switching tires. I am also considering switching to "19 rims and would like some comments on what's out there versus the stock ContiSportContact™ 2 Vmax that came with my car.

After 16K miles it seems as if the fronts are wearing to near the warning bars. I had the dealer rotate them to the back (they should have done that for free and didn't I might add!). I drive around the curvy roads of Westchester county New York which is probably why they wear so fast. With the weather here being temperate with wet snowy winters I was wondering if there are good sport tires (i.e. Michelin's) that do well in all ranges of weather with out giving up the sporty stick to the roads. Then again, Quattro takes care of the rest!
-Tony

p.s. Any value Audi knockoff rims out there in "19?

Use the search engine to find varying opinions on tyre brands/rims etc. Dont have the know how to post a link here for you otherwise I would.
