Sounds promising. I'm sure lots of us are keen to see and hear how it goes. I for one am looking forward to hear your report and have got my fingers crossed it is the solution we are all craving :)

I don't mind the chrome although am surprised it was fitted being as these are the sporting versions. It's just a bit frustrating to spend all that time cleaning the pride and joy for it to be let down by these trim pieces. Maybe I'm just being too fussy. Although I did try some good old fashioned t-cut on them the other day and it does seem to have improved them a bit.

got some samples through and its really good stuff have no doubt it will be a massively simple job and better than plastidip.

here are a few pics of the samples...

thats the new carbon range... its glossy so looks better than the old 3m stuff...

thats the old 3m carbon on the left and the new on the right...

these are the colours i guess we all might be interested in the most...

gloss black

brushed black metallic

to show how easy it is to use, this took me 5-10 mins to do it molds easy, using a hair dryer, i laid it on the key, heated with a hair dryer for like 5-10 seconds, grabbed the edges and pulled to stretch it over the edges and pressed it down and it was stuck... used a scalpel to cut round and it was finished.

im going to use the brushed black metallic on my window surrounds, its a textured vinyl and is cool to touch lol! but looks really good!

mine is ebony black or whatever it is... doesnt really look black to me lol!

but im doing the chrome window trims in the brushed black metallic will also do the bonnet and the bumper grill chrome surround in the same.

im tempted to do the bumper exhaust trim bit in the black carbon... tempted to do the roof in the carbon too but im scared it will look too chavvy ha!

Is the brushed black metallic a gloss or matt finish? It looks matt in the picture.

its hard to describe, its got a glass to it but its like a genuine brushed metal finish its mat with reflective parts, also with the metallic fleck in it, that catches the eye, i will take a pic on my paint with the brushed tomorrow for you to see

That's better. Which way would you run the grain as it goes up and around the rear quater lights?

As an anxiety therapist, I use only research-based cognitive-behavioral interventions to help you approach, rather than avoid your anxiety. This has been proven to be the most effective way to treat anxiety disorders.
