power seat problem

Post by 2manytix » Tue Sep 13, 2005 8:56 am

I have an 04 S4 and have been having issues with the memory on the power seats. One of the relay modules was just changed and now the car does what all 05 S4's do...when you turn off the car and then return back to the car the driver's seat arranges itself more upright than where the memory was programmed.

I have dealt with Audi directly after getting no help from the dealership and was finally told today this is a safety issue (BS) and that the seat is supposed to do that. They won't repair it and are trying to get me to believe that I cannot program the reclining portion of my seat to any position I want.

This should be present on all 05 model cars if I am correct. Has anybody else come across this issue, and possibly any diy rewiring or relay changes that could fix this?

Any input is greatly appreciated, I am at my wits' end.

Thanks-

Cory

I suggest you post this on B7 and even other make's of car sites BMW Merc etc, if it is a safety issue they will all have to do it.

My 53 B6 S4 will not let you store a memory position for the seat beyond certain limits - and it's been like this from new. I discovered this when trying to store a much laid back 'snooze' preset into the seat.
