I've failed you!

Post by Dalton » Wed Mar 09, 2005 10:31 pm

In week 2 now of S4 ownership. God I'm loving it but having driven a DSG TT for the last 18 months I'm just about getting used to a manual gearbox again.

Anyway needed to fill up tonight so thought I'd try some super unleaded (as the stealership only put in 95 RON).

Came off the M6 Toll near where I live and realised a Corsa up my backside. I'll get to the point in that I resisted the temptation to put the S4 through it's paces and make this boy racer feel like falling on his sword. I'm now feeling disgusted with myself in letting this forum down.

I know it's my duty to perform but I can assure you I won't let it happen again.

Hopefully this is the first of many posts for me.

Welcome and wise move....I was overcome with bravado in the same place the other day in an RS4 when herbert in Daewoo undertook me to prove to his mates how quick his car was, a few hundred yards later I showed him what 2.7 twin turbo power is, but my left arm is still sore as the passenger seat speed limiter kicked in :assflash:

Welcome aboard :beerchug:

I hope for your sake that if you're in week 2 of S4 ownership from new, you'll resist the temptation for a few thousand miles yet!

Wouldn't worry too much anyway, we buy S4's so we don't have to bother with Corsas and the like. Only succumb to the bigger fry

BMW 330's are always tremendously satisfying fun; firstly cos they always start it, and second cos they're wannabe M3 owners

Tying the first two posts of this thread together, I overtook J. Herbert (he of F1 fame) on the M6 about 15 months ago. He was in a diesel A3!

A proud moment indeed, were it not for the fact that even a Routemaster bus can outdrag an A3 diesel...
