For the UK we only really have www.auto-amd.com (for the B6/7 S4)

I replied on the other thread. I could get confusing if you post in multiple threads :-/

I have the AMD stage 3 if you have any questions.

AMD are one of the top firms here in the UK - so no problems there.

Not strictly true... APR have a map for the 2004 (B6) S4. Depending on ECU # of course, but they definately have one for mine...

Best of all, its OBDII flash programmable and you can have different maps (valet, 95RON, 98RON, stock) etc switchable via the cruise control...

After I get the TSBs and throttle software looked at, mines going to have the software added on a 6 hour trial with before/after dyno plots...

DuncS3, what's this AMD stage 3 kit changing to your performances of the car? Is it really faster in acceleration like standard?
Jampo, what do you recommend me? You really need to help me out guys.
In Belgium they say that http://www.autotuneheinz.be does nice upgrading. But i really don't make a prob of it to come to the UK.
Grtz dudes

My mods are currently limited to a Hyperflow induction kit and a catback Milltek exhaust. The AMD stage 3 doesn't use that induction kit, but replaces the full catback, cats and downpipe, and adds their chip.

For the B7 S4, the Milltek will soon be available, if it isn't already. This is certainly an excellent starting point.

As I haven't had the chip work done on my car yet, I can't fully comment. My stock figures of 335bhp and 296ft/lb have been improved already to 355bhp and 326ft/lb - with the chip yet to come. I'm hoping for something along the lines of 375-380bhp and 335ft/lb when run in. My car has only just completed 5000 miles.

I didn't know until I asked around... my ECU is 8E0910560R. APR in the UK have the maps for 4 or 5 different ECU numbers, apparently...

(I spoke to the chaps @ Awesome GTI)

If I was starting afresh I would have all the exhaust done (downpipes, cats and rear box) with the Milltek kit and after this I'd consider a remap. Being normally aspirated you don't get the gains as your would from a remap on a turbo car. As I've posted elsewhere the difference with the chip is not massive but it does give it that edge. Without the chip I am expecting to get 370/380bhp where as with the chip I have 385/395 depending on which dyno run you look at.

Thanks Scotty, I'll follow up your advice. Is there allready an Milltek complete exhaust system available for my B7? Can i contact AMD for all the work you're describing? I'm from Belgium so i have no experience with AMD but they look like the right guys for the job...
Grtz amigo!!

Phill Millington (ower of Milltek) was about to put a system onto his brand new B7 S4 when I spoke to him recently... which is why I think it safe to assume its available :)

I'm sure AMD will be happy to sort you out - or you could consider (if you want just the hardware) purchasing the exhaust from either Milltek directly, or a local distributor, and having a local garage fit it for you...
