Got my car booked in for it's MOT on wednesday morning, not at Audi's I will add.
Have read about the brake check can cause problems with the quattro system. Is there anything I should be making sure they do or don't do when testing it?
I will be staying to watch the test so no chance of them giving the car an italian tune.
MOT time
Re: MOT time
Not heard about this before. Mine is booked in to local MOT place on Saturday. Taken it there before and not had any trouble though, but maybe they know about this problem. Having said that, last time I took it in there he walked around the car then asked me if it was a diesel!

Re: MOT time
Ok. Thanks Mike. Got mine booked into Halfrauds Autocentre up the road from me as they are offering half price MOT's at the moment. £27.32. Can't grumble

Current car: 2007 BMW 530d touring.

Re: MOT time
Mine's just passed it's fifth. It's been to Audi and 2 different MOT testers and I've never had a problem.
It failed once on a number plate bulb, but that's been it.

Re: MOT time
When they test the brakes they won't do it on the rollers, they'll do it by accelerating through their carpark and then standing on the anchors, and measuring the retardation with an accelerometer. They'll do it a second time for the handbrake, too.
