Absolutely feckin ragin'

Post by linkman72 » Thu May 16, 2013 8:29 pm

I haven't been on for a little while but thought I would share todays events with you ( to make your day feel a little better I hope ).

At about 11.20 I was heading northbound on the A1 between the a690 and Chester-Le-Street turn off, I was progressing in the fast lane at about 65-70 keeping up with traffic. The 2 lane carriageway changed to 3 lanes and the VW Passat in front of me moved to the middle lane and I overtook. A second later this guy pulls back out and starts 'tailgating' me, Now bear in mind I had remained approximately 30 feet behind him in the moments earlier. He then proceeds to move back to the middle lane and starts accelerating to attempt to 'undertake' me. I closed the gap ahead to avoid this and he backed off and then moved in behind me again. The road then returned to 2 lanes and again this guy pulls across behind me and begins to try and undertake. However on this occasion he does not wait until he gets past us, he simply collides with my nearside front and almost forced me off the motorway. I respond by steering into him until he was at an angle (tyres squeeling) and I hit my brakes almost sending him into an oppoisite spin. I check the traffic behind and pull over to the hard shoulder expecting him to do the same, but no he guns it and takes off ducking and weaving through traffic with me by now in pursuit mode and my missus calling the police. We continue at speeds in excess of 110-120 mph with medium traffic with my missus giving the police a commentary while I try to keep him insight without involving any innocent motorists in this madness. He heads toward a slip road but I keep up and he takes to the hard shoulder ( again at over 100mph ). He continues at this speed down the slip road and runs 3 sets of red lights on a roundabout and disappears.

Stolen car ?? I hear you mutter
Drugs ?? possibly
Drunk ?? Maybe

Alas no it is a lease car ( everyone moan together ), now I watch police shows and lease cars are used by drug dealers so I wasn't feeling confident at this point as the car had no signs of a lease company on it.

The police attended at the roadside and I explained I suspected the guy had re joined the motorway heading northbound as I could not see him negotiating the roundabout at that speed so his only other option was to get back on the motorway.

Well the police traced the car to a National property management company but would not tell me who, the driver contacted the officer claiming he was the victim of a 'madman' and I had tried to run him off the road etc etc etc running for his life etc etc etc. He utterly denied the collision ever happened ( even though I saw the damage on his car ) and he was now in Cambridgeshire so the Durham Constabulary could not inspect his car for damage ( a distance of 250 miles through traffic in under 3 hours ????? )

I waited for the P.C to tell me they were sending officers from Cambridge to inspect his vehicle ????, NO cam the reply because Cambridgeshire police 'cant be bothered' to waste man hours verifying my claims.

Then came the best bit, because the other driver claims this was a road rage incident if I take it any further I could get charged with 'dangerous driving' etc etc etc.

So lads n lasses the moral of the story is simple, DRIVE LIKE A <beep> AND KILL WHO YOU WANT, JUST RUN FROM THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT AND COME UP WITH ROAD RAGE BULLSH!T AND IT WILL ALL GO AWAY.

So far my wheel arch if creased and scraped with his silver paint, my wheel is tw4tted and I hope dearly the steering arms etc etc are ok.

VW PASSAT - SILVER - HJ60 VCU

Not nice, glad you managed to keep it between the ditches, quattro helps stability massively if you are pushed off the carriageway into the marbles etc

Am I allowed to say I wish he'd spun and gone into the barriers? At least that way everything would have come to a stop you'd have a witness to say he'd undertaken

Things like this (although fortunately for me not this bad) is why I have a dash cam.

Hmmmm thats a good idea, would have been great footage of the Passat being tipped sideways across the nose before fishtailing back.

I have this kind of sh1t every day when i'm in my works van, just don't have the speed to catch them. I ran a gent up the curb (<beep> was in a pissrat as well) as he was brake testing me (he was embarrassed as he had been in the wrong lane at an island) onto the grass but still managed to keep ahead and carried on brake testing all the way onto the motorway then he left me for dead. If I would have caught him he would have had a 14lb sledge hammer inserted up his :assflash: .
Fell sorry for you mate, the a$$holes ALWAYS get away with it. Best thing to do is stop them straight away, I would have span him round 180o.
previous- Pug 205 gti, 306 gti, 309 gti Goodwood.
Audi S3, S4 V8 avant.
Porsche Macan Turbo.
Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Now - Empty garage

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there!

Thing is everyone hates Audi drivers now. I blame the inferior Audi owners who are after the image of owning an Audi.
