New discs

Post by Batfinnk » Thu Mar 28, 2013 9:53 pm

Going to order some new front and rear discs for my car. Can't decide on grooved and drilled or just grooved after hearing about dust accumalation in the holes on the drilled ones.

Any advice would be appreciated please. :beerchug:

I depends if you can be @rsed. By that I mean if you can be bothered to drill out every hole after they are filled because they will get clogged up. I've got a set of grooved and drilled and have never drilled out the holes.

I'd only go for 'drilled' if they are cast with the holes, not physically drilled like most.

I just got OEs from TPS and EBC Yellow pads to reduce the dust

Can't remember now, it was years ago. Not much more than OE with a discount code I found on google. I think Eurocarparts do them now though or a decent price and maybe club discount?

Well that's them all fitted. Just under an hour and half to do all of them. Look much better than stock and have got some good bite already after only 4 miles.

Who makes the OEs nowdays? I bought Pagid rears two years ago from Eurocarparts, only to find ECP have bought out Pagid, which probably explains why the were nothing like the original Audi discs I removed from the car and the centres rusted within the first week.

Any comments on the manufacturer and quality of the ones you bought and fitted Xyber?
