Re: Top 5 B6/B7 mods
I had set installed for 3yrs and not had any continual problems. Occasionally they would flicker and that would trigger a warning light other than that everything works. Never had to use a resistor.

Re: Top 5 B6/B7 mods
looks like the ones on the link should be error free and just work.

It doesn't say they're error-free there. That's also confirmed by UltraLEDs - they replied to me and said:
They must have changed design since the first set I bought cos these error all the time - and they switch off too.UltraLEDs wrote:The bulbs purchased are not classed as "bulb warning" safe bulbs, so they are not designed to work with bulb warning systems.

So my Led's just arrived and they're totally the wrong size. Do not buy the ones on that link. Just wasted £15.

Yes buy the ones in the link. I bought a pair of those bulbs in July. They do fit. As already mentioned do you have a B6 or B7. I own a B6.sushisushi wrote:So my Led's just arrived and they're totally the wrong size. Do not buy the ones on that link. Just wasted £15.

I'd be interested in them, matey!
Re: Top 5 B6/B7 mods
In order of impact on the car...
1. JHM tune. Light years ahead of all of the other tunes I have seen. I did pulls with a dozen different B6 / B7 S4 owners and I never had to worry about anyone. Even includes launch control. They will be able to flash you guys starting next month so that's great for Europe our ROW customers, who precipitously had to mail their ecu to JHM. Price is right, at about 350 pounds or 500 eur.
2.piggies - the stock pre cat is awful and restrictive. Gut it but leave the main or second cat in place, and you free the engine up from a tremendous amount of heat...and increase flow dramatically. Diy and you get a fee HP bump. Brilliant.
3. 2.5" catback exhaust - I had fast intentions but the new Milltek at 2.5 should be a decent substitute. Fast intentions is far better designed for power but California plus exhaust plus shipping to Europe or the UK= ridiculous expense. Milltek sounds the best.
Those are the three I would suggest to everyone who buys this platform. The rest is handling/suspension or lightweight rotating parts like lwcp or flywheel or rotors.
My YouTube channel is chock full of B6/B7 videos with my various exhaust mods that I had and done pulls and other 4.2 stuff. Check it out if you are bored and/or want to annoy your wife or girlfriend lol.

Yes! That sounds like a dream come true. Quite a sad one but a dream nonetheless.sakimano wrote:They will be able to flash you guys starting next month so that's great for Europe our ROW customers, who precipitously had to mail their ecu to JHM.
Can you point us to some info on this please? I looked on the JHM page but it didn't mention it.
