Will 17in fit and what model?

Post by coullstar » Mon Apr 11, 2011 2:51 pm

Afternoon, I sold my Mk5 Golf with my winters wheels and tyres (standard 17in Gti wheels) thinking that the wouldnt fit the S4. However I think it might be possible. Has anyone ftted 17in wheels to there S4 for the winter and if so what wheels were they?

The Gti one are 7.5x17in ET54 so could well work.

Been wondering this exact same thing. Was looking at the 17" five arm 'Positano' alloys that came on B6 quattros, 235 section tyre the same as the S4.

I tried some 10 spoke 17" alloys (Bolero) from a B5 quattro sport, very close as the balance weight caught on the caliper and would need spacers which may have helped. Ended up buying some 18" rims to avoid any issues. Main problem seemed to be clearing the caliper at the front.

Do check the wheels are correct pcd 5/112 as the early A3 is 5/100 and won't fit.
