How big is your battery??

Post by dsearle » Sat Feb 05, 2011 11:44 pm

I've purchased a new battery and on inspection it appears to be a lot longer than my current battery. Upon checking other websites it appears that all of them are saying that a battery is this size:

Length: 354mm
Width: 175mm
Height: 190mm

My current Battery is like 310mm in length and I can't see how the 354 length could even fit in the bay. Any ideas?

I ordered the battery and then compared to the old size and it appears that a lot of online stockists suggest the 35cm length battery fir the B6 S4. This I wrong ad won't fit. The 31cm battery is what you need. I've now got an F17 Varta and it's perfect.

Very annoyingly i have just found this out too

There seems to be a rubber stopper on one side of the battery tray. I dont know if this can be moved to allow a bigger battery as without it i think the longer one may just squeeze in

I am going to give it a try tomorrow anyway as i have been waiting ages for the battery :(

Sweet baby jesus what a ball ache that was

The big battery is in but i really wouldnt recommend it

I only went through with making it fit because i got it mates rate for £47 and a 5 year warranty :D

So for anyone searching S4 battery type or size DO NOT go with the recommended size on most websites
