Wheel re-furbish time again

Post by infrasilver » Sat Jun 19, 2010 4:36 pm

Does anyone know a good wheel re-furbisher in the East Midlands area. I have been looking into getting all 5 of mine done as I have a few chips and bubbling on a couple around the valves?
I was thinking of powder coating them as I have had bike wheels done in the past but I am not sure if the S4 would look right with powder coated wheels I know it is hard wearing but though the finish might be dull.
I know there are some bad re-furbishers out there so I am looking for recommendations.

Also just uploaded one of my laps of the Nurburgring to Youtube if anyone want to have a look.

Was that a Nova that went screaming past on one of the long sections?? He was giving it some!

try Pristine Wheels, they are in Woburn (Milton Keynes) - very good, but not the cheapest!

I managed to get a quote from The Wheel Specialist in Derby for £428 for all 5 wheels which I didn't think was too bad for a drive in drive out and the wheels fully stripped and powder coated. 2 of my 5 wheels are still in perfect condition so I might just get the 3 that need doing done.

And yes that was a Vauxhall Nova flying past me. It was so twitchy even in a straight line. I wouldn't of liked being a passenger in it. Total track car.
