Milltek DPs vs USA

Post by xyber » Fri Jan 08, 2010 2:21 pm

Just something I've noticed on US forums. Milltek Cats get consistently good reviews over here, but seem to be slated in the states with loads of reports of them failing really quickly from what seems to generally be melting.

Any ideas what's going on? I can only imagine it's a fuel related issue or dodgy mapping?

One of the reasons why they get slated is because the gains from a milltek is questionable. Their dp's still maintain the pre-cats although hi flow it is still a restriction. Restrictions hamper performance. So by fitting a milltek dp you are exchanging one restriction for another and paying through the nose for it.

APR items are exactly the same, quote the same figures and cost about the same, but nobody complains about them or questions the advertised gains??
