Hi
I don't post in here often, but thought I would post a link to my S4 for sale on Piston Heads:

Would obviously like it to go to an enthusiast.

Ant,
Sorry to hear that you are selling you S4.
I bought your standard exhaust off e-bay as a spare a couple of weeks ago. Thanks for all your help and for wrapping it up for the courier for me. It was much appreciated.
Having looked at the exhaust, it looks like i'm unlikely ever to need a replacement, as they seem to be very well made and full stainless steel anyway.
However, I like the Milltek and was thinking of one myself. Do they make a lot of difference with helping that V8 burble sound? I think the standard exhaust is far too quiet, but don't want to get one that sounds like a Nova on steroids, or one that the misses won't drive.
Hope you get what you want for your car and be safe on the bike.
Cheers,
Elliot

Hi Elmo
Glad you were pleased with the old exhaust, I had to clear it and loads of other stuff out of the garage to make room for the bike.
The standard Milltek catback alone (I had resonated) definitely brings the V8 to life as it does sound far to muted as standard. When I put the highflow downpipes on, it sounded even better again and to me was noticably quicker. I would recommend the Catback first as I am sure you would enjoy it and be pleased.
I would definitely not describe the sound as boy racer with one sound that is just loud constantly giving you a headache and attracting the wrong sort of attention. It is perfectly acceptable cruising along and you can hold a conversation no problem. It is only when you put your foot down that the sound builds with the revs and you can really hear the V8. I love nothing better than driving it with the windows down as it does make for the most glorious sound.
Cheers,
Ant
