Headlights auto-on

Post by Jonny_rotten » Fri Jan 30, 2009 11:46 am

A friend of mine has an S5 and he has set-up his car so that when he unlocks it, his headlights come on. Since my S4 has the "auto" light function, i wondered if i could set this up also? (i dont have the manual for the car just yet - it is being sent up to me!)

Thanks

The 'coming home' lights was a factory option, what your friend has. Unless you have that option I am not sure how easy or possible it is to retrofit it but it does require another swith in the dash next to that of of the light switch

Having had a look at my light switch, there is a small switch next to the main dial that has a picture of a headlight with a small clock next to it. The switch has 2 settings, 1 or 0. I'm hoping this is what you are talking about, although havent had the chance to leave my office to try it yet!

Thanks

It is, turn it to 1 and it should work. It may use your fog lights rather than main beam through, does on my RS4

It will use the fog lights.
