doesn't the b7 have slightly rounded headlights though, this one doesn't

The car in the pistonheads link is a B6, just look at the bonnet shut line and the shape of the headlights (look at the bottom edge). The B7 does not have the grill attached to the bonnet due to the depth of the grill, the B6 has the start of the current grill shape just not joined up. If you really want a B7 grill on your car either buy a B7 car or stick some silver strips on to join it up, personally I hate it and prefer the B6 shape even though I drive a B7 S4 that's got buck teeth with silver trimmings.

I stumbled across this kit the other day. There was a fair bit of bodyshop envolved in the fitting as the bonnet needed extending to mate up with the shut lines. Not a case of spray and bolt on im afraid
