Potential New B6 Owner

Post by ShaneyB » Mon Sep 15, 2008 3:38 pm

Hi all,
Just been and test drove a 54 plate S4 saloon, DSG and absolutely loved it. Apart from few stone chips the car was in excellent condition and more importantly drove superbly, much better than the Avant I tested at the weekend. I'm probably going to take the plunge and was hoping you guys could share any knowledge/thoughts you have, particularly around the DSG? I've come from a B5 so I'm quite familiar with many aspects of the car and actually was quite surprised at how well it drove and handled. I will always miss the sharp pull of the turbos but think I'm making the right choice.

Any advice would be great.

Thanks in advance.

B6's or even B7's are bargains at the moment. The S4 auto is Tiptronic not DSG. Good all round cars that are on the whole reliable
