New Tyres..??
Hi TiggerS4,TiggerS4 wrote:I've got the F1's in 19 inch on my S4 and the grip is certainly outstanding. The fronts on mine are starting to go on both shoulders after about 7,500 miles, but the rears are in great shape so this weekends job is to do the old front/rear swap to even them up.
I have just bought a set of 8.5j x 19" wheels for mine and wondered what size tyre you have fitted?

39 front 35 rear. I think Audi are a bit brighter than the average tyre fitter.ak47mh wrote:Right I just had these fitted and the tyre fitter pumped all the tyres to 32 psi and said this is what he recommends. I told him 39 psi is on the door sill, but he thought that was high.
What pressure is everyone else running?
Thanks again,

Also fitted these to my RS4 Avant... I would recommend well worth a look. Posted some pics if anyone interested.B6S4John wrote:I had a set of Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta's fitted today, so watch this space. I'm going on a trip around Europe at the end of the month so I give you all a report.

I've done about 3000miles on these now, so here go's. The tyres that were on the car from new were Pirelli P zero rosso, so that is what I'm comparing then too.B6S4John wrote:I had a set of Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta's fitted today, so watch this space. The new tyres are quieter and seem to give a smoother ride, strange because they have a stiffer side wall. Maybe they are making the suspension do the work, instead of the tyre bouncing. The turn in is much improved, and under hard cornering there is a lot less "wash out" and it go's where you point it. Even at high speed the car feels more stable and changes lanes without any drama or tramlining. We didn't have much rain while on holiday except on the Route Napoleon, on our way up to Grenoble. In the wet they seem strange, they don't seem to know it's wet. I pushed them a few times, when I thought I had somewhere to slide, but they didn't budge. Bearing in mind I had my wife and the car full of luggage, so I couldn't go mad. I'm going to a track day soon at my local sprint course, so I'm hopeing it's wet, so I see just how far I can push them before they slide.
If anyone has any specific questions please feel free to ask.
