have a look at blackcircles.com and mytyres.com

they will often pricematch and beat other retailers

blackcircles are the best I would say as you earn money off for future tyre purchases

Right I just had these fitted and the tyre fitter pumped all the tyres to 32 psi and said this is what he recommends. I told him 39 psi is on the door sill, but he thought that was high.

What pressure is everyone else running?

Thanks again,
Ant:)

I'd stick with 39, no disrespect to your tyre fitter but think of the hours of calculation & testing Audi's engineers took to arrive at that figure when first setting up the car. And remember running on low pressure (although 32 isn't too far out) is the most common cause of blow outs!

2.7bar (39psi) for me too.
After playing a bit, it happened to be the weight with the best balance for my taste.
32psi is probably a good value on track but on roads, quite low taking in to account the tyre specs and the weight of the car.

Hi TiggerS4,

I have just bought a set of 8.5j x 19" wheels for mine and wondered what size tyre you have fitted?

39 front 35 rear. I think Audi are a bit brighter than the average tyre fitter.

Also fitted these to my RS4 Avant... I would recommend well worth a look. Posted some pics if anyone interested.

I've done about 3000miles on these now, so here go's. The tyres that were on the car from new were Pirelli P zero rosso, so that is what I'm comparing then too.

The new tyres are quieter and seem to give a smoother ride, strange because they have a stiffer side wall. Maybe they are making the suspension do the work, instead of the tyre bouncing. The turn in is much improved, and under hard cornering there is a lot less "wash out" and it go's where you point it. Even at high speed the car feels more stable and changes lanes without any drama or tramlining. We didn't have much rain while on holiday except on the Route Napoleon, on our way up to Grenoble. In the wet they seem strange, they don't seem to know it's wet. I pushed them a few times, when I thought I had somewhere to slide, but they didn't budge. Bearing in mind I had my wife and the car full of luggage, so I couldn't go mad. I'm going to a track day soon at my local sprint course, so I'm hopeing it's wet, so I see just how far I can push them before they slide.
If anyone has any specific questions please feel free to ask.
