Headlight adjustment

Post by Spoof » Wed Apr 09, 2008 9:35 pm

Any way they can be adjusted without a visit to the stealers? I'm blinding people at night because they are aimed quite a bit too high.

They're auto-levelling so shouldn't need adjusting unless the mechanism's faulty (park opposite a wall at night & you'll see the beams find their level when you first turn your lights on). You're probably just suffering from the same thing I get every time I drive at night - people who've never seen zenons coming at them before, especially pronounced on long left bends on motorways.

The headlights are self levelling but still need ot be set atthe right height. There is adjustment for the headlights behind the unit. IIRC its requires a 8mm allen key. Mine had to be slightly lowered during the MOT.

Thanks guys, I have had a few cars with xenons but when parked next to my RR Sport you can see the beam patter is correct, just set slightly too high.

I'll have a look for the adjustment blingbling, thanks.

Very easy to do, might pop up to the local MOT place and get them to set the height though.. not very accurate setting it off the back wall of the garage  :s4addict:
