Scrubbing on S4 B6

Still think it is tracking. Wheels slip in the wet and that is why you hear the noise more. You may even hear it more first thing in the morning pulling off your drive with cold tyres.

The noise in mine is notting to do with the tyre slip, it's a cracking noise ie. metalic noise.

They replaced all the suspension and streeing parts in my car and the noise is still there when wet.

Just a quick note on this, I can't get it to make the noise by using a power washer on the car, it has to be driven on a pretty wet road before it will do it.

Anyone got to the bottom of this one yet?

With the recent "damp" weather I'm able to confirm that mine does it in the wet too. I'd not made the connection with rain thus far. I really only notice it when swinging into parking spaces on tight lock.

Yes this is bloody weird. Mine was doing it in all weather, now with replaced shocks & springs it's completely stopped in the dry but is still doing it in the wet! I notice there's a similar post to this in the B7 RS4 section, so it must be a trait of the B6/7 chassis
