For French and Belgian potential buyers of S4 V8, I've posted an add-on in this RS6 thread with a link to an online dealer offering 13.5% discount on new S4 V8 344hp.
Also 17.1% off on the RS6 and 20.6% on the S6.

The web site shows the saloon for 51147 euros, at an exhange rate of 1.4 that equals £36.5k. Is that not how much the saloon is in the UK anyway?

It could be indeed, although there might be different "standard" options on the Audi FR versions (for ex, the FR RS6 came with 19" wheels standard, which isn't the case for DE version which came with 18").
In any case, compared to FR list price, the discount is real.
