REVO software

Post by NotNormal » Mon Oct 09, 2006 5:12 pm

Well , had it put on my car on saturday - not wanting more power tbh, but then again it's N/A so not likely to get a big power increase but it's done what i wanted and alittle more too :D 8)

Wanted the jerkyness at town speeds to go , and with a tweek here and their of the throttle respince ect... it has ,
Also wanted the speed limmiter removed - which it has

As a bonus i have a slightly higher rev limmiter too , which makes for a better driving range with the gears

Also it's given it alot more pep in first gear, made it alot stronger - previously felt it was 2nd gear that pulled well , now it's both of them :D

Another REVO convert. It has put the icing on the cake for me. WRC technologies and Mitch from REVO did the work, can't recommend them highly enough.

Not anymore - it was causing problem with Knock, nothing wrong with the car and Revo didn't seem open minded enough to look into the map so mine is std now .

Knock?

Also, did you get from REVO direct or a franchise? I've heard franchises giving similar stories hence why I went to REVO direct via WRC.

Knock = Detonation

I got it from Quattronic's - but it was Kev from Revo that it came from and he installed it on my car at their open day

I understood that REVO had remapped their B6 software recently. If this is the case it may sort the problem. That info was given to me by one of their franchises in Newport, Wales. I cannot vouch for its accuracy.

I am looking at the REVO software myself and don't relish having the same issues as you. Are you in the minority, or are you aware of others that have had this issue.

I have always found the REVO guys to be very helpful when I have used them in the past. But I guess you are always exposed to the professionalism of individual franchisees.

This was the new software, Tom's car was the first one with the derestricted 6 gear limiter removed (REVO had never removed that before only the main speed limiter)
Tom wasn't happy with the response when they suggested there was an issue with the car rather than the software even though the car had no faults

Hey Guys, I believe the suggestion that there could be an issue somewhere else was down to the fact there were no issues when the car was first flashed and for the following months. Being an adjustable software both A/F ratio and timing can be altered (not to mention throttle response, but as that is only driver preferance it's not important here) to suit varying conditions, fuel quality, etc. The only thing we said we can't help with was turning off the ESP fully. Water under the bridge now as Corey has refunded the customer, which was authorised as a gesture of good will on our part as they were stuggling to find any issues.
