New S4 door trim-exterior...

Looking at the new S4 V8 it has aluminium door mirror covers and matching roof rails on the Avant, but the exterior door trim/styling is black at the bottom of the doors.

Anyone know if it's possible to get these door trims in matching aluminium-for either the Avant or saloon?? If so where and how much?

I assume you're refering to those "pontoons" affixed to the base of the front and rear doors ... which are not only hideous, but outright superfluous. Haven't seen any alum options yet, like on the A6 4.2, but those useless appendages will be body colored on all US-spec models when the car arrives in the States. Perhaps you could retro-fit yours with those from the North American parts bin once the car has been released here ... or just have yours painted to match by a good local body shop.
