Any one have a rear coil spring removal "How-to"

Post by misternomer » Fri Oct 08, 2010 11:05 pm

I realise that the general principle is fairly common between most vehicles but could really do with a set of photos and instructions on rear coil spring removal since one of mine is broken so they now need to come out as a pair. Also any views on replacing OEM with something no more expensive.

Thanks

There is a decent write-up over on AudiSRS which I used the other week when replacing my rear coilovers.

Was a pretty straight forward job, although you may find spring compressors handy if you have them. I didn't, and resulted to using my friend's forklift truck to compress the springs!

I've spent 20 mins trying to search for the write up but can't find a link? Do you have it to hand as I'd luike to make a start this weekend. Sorry to be a PITA. Many Thanks
