Blown turbo

Post by maximus4 » Mon May 17, 2010 2:07 pm

Hi Guys,
My S4 has blown a turbo! So I have managed to get some cash together and I will be going down the K04 route... I need some advice though other then K04’s what else would defiantly be needed for the conversion accept for injectors, fuel Pump and clutch?
I plan on getting cheep things like the afterun mod but I want to know what else would need/worth changing whilst remaining a cheaper conversion

I am not doing this myself by the way but I want to start looking for parts.
Is an up rated exhaust a must or can it wait 6 months? BHP wise it would be nice for about 370 and I know the intercoolers will need to be bigger for more power. The main thing is to get the car back on the road soonest for cheapest. If anyone can direct me to a parts list thread/oem website that would be great.

I am a little bit annoyed as I had just secured a loan for a boat but half of it is now going on the S4 but it does mean lots more power which is why i brought an S4
Also please post what you think would be the cost of the basic conversion. I am budgeting about 4k…
My car is a 2000 s4 which has been lowered and has MRC custom re map 111000 on the clock.

Thanks,
Mark

rs4 intake/turbo pipes,at a minimum i would gut the pre-cats or totally de-cat,a front mount intercooler will help or rs4 coolers if you want to keep maximum stealth
