Hello and Bonjour...

I am currently doing a little bit of research looking into a B5 S4 saloon..

My aim is to purchase the car this year as my current car (low miles charged VR6) is going to start to need some daft bits doing and needs the bumpers painting.. So rather than do that I'm going to take the hit and update myself to next on my wish lists...

Sooooo I have already read and understand the basics on the car and have a few questions if I may???

Please feel free to point me in the direction of the correct location whilst I learn this forums rules. I know what newbees are like on new forums... I am used to supporting them on my previous cars/forums etc...

Where/who fixes the issues with the boot handle rust issue and display graphic failure?

Cams belts... 60k or 80k and everything changed or just the pumps?

The front arms at 60k real or ideal? WHere and who local to me??

I would really like to understand where I can see the original brochures for the face lift models (1999.5 if i understand form correctly...) so I can understand the standard and options lists and what is standard etc lip boot spoilers/stereo/cruise etc etc

The other aspect is who is local (personal and service/garage) and how do I talk to them as I would really like to see a quality car before I go and view unknown cars. I am Watford based (UK)

Where/who fixes the issues with the boot handle rust issue?

I believe that there is a bodywork warranty, but this is provided by the UK dealer and not VAG. Good luck with it. I had the issue and just got a new part and a local paint shop to paint it for me.

Where/who fixes the issues with the display graphic failure?

I believe there are people (check the web) who will fix these.

It was 80K or 5 years but recently Audi changed it. Not sure but it might be 60K or 4 years now. It is recommended to change all associated parts and the waterpump.

Mine's done 80K and haven't had to do this.
