Can you hit 60mph in 2nd?

That'a it really. Just wondering if you had to grab 3rd for 60 or if you could do it in 2nd gear.
The reason for asking is a US mag has published this and I simply can't see how this works out.

p.s I've got rid of my B6 S4 and now have a B8 2.0T so I'd love it to be S4 performance but I simply can't see it
