Fixed seized wipers now wipers have mind of there own

Post by audiman73 » Tue Jul 07, 2009 10:45 pm

After some help guys. Wipers been going slow and then stopped completely but after a minute or two left on would start again and creep back to home.

Done fix on spindles and all working well there but now the wipers park where ever they feel like, and everytime I turn on the ignition it does about 5 wipes even when switched off also if I push down for one wipe it gives loads.

Checked inside motor to the park switch and cleaned it but still the same. swapped the relay for the one next to it which has different size pins but same pin no's and switching diagram and the wipers did the same.

things I have thought of so far, I did give it a wack or twenty did this wreck motor, did leaving them on when teh linkage was seized burnout the motor, my guess would not be the switch as it would be one big coincidence (i know they happen and frequently but its all to regular)

Have I buggered up some control unit somewhere, I have vagcom but found nothing related.

Ta in advance
