Anyone Tried The Cheap Stainless Exhausts on Ebay?

Hi, I am new to this forum and S4s in general. Have been driving an Avant TDI Quattro for four years now and have finally gotten round to being able to afford an S4 Avant. It's a late 1999 model with low mileage. Great drive, everything nice and tight, but it's just too quiet and doesn't give you that 'raising the hairs on the back of your neck feel' when I nail it.
Been doing a bit of research regarding exhausts for the S4 and the Miltek seems favourable. Although some people comment that their Miltek exhausts don't fit that well. And price is a little high.
Anyone have experience fitting the stainless exhaust off ebay? Looks pretty good to me, especially considering the price. I run a small car workshop and can tig weld etc. so no problem if the exhaust needs a mod or two.
Also, there are stainless de-cat systems on ebay that seem really cheap. Anyone tried them?
Thanks for any advice in advance, mattt

imo if you've got a tig welder etc then there will be no problem at all with making it fit.
From what ive heard, some fit perfectly and others dont, i presume they must have two different jigs, and ones not quite right... but if you've got the tools to correct any alignment issues then i'd go for it.
They have downpipes too, which they claim have sport cats, however they are just resonator boxes, but even still, buying those, and welding in a couple of 200 or 100 cell cats (from ebay around £100 each) would be the way to go, and still much cheaper than a milltek turbo back setup.

for a much cheaper option you could just remove the rear silencer and replace with straight through tubing. I have it on mine although i got the setup off someone from here, if you can weld then it will be a very cheap option as you could just but the pipe parts yourself - sounds awesome. Very similar to the vibrant setup above.

My ebay pipes arrived today and look pretty darn good considering the price. Fully tig-welded and polished. Nice mandrel bent radii also. Will be fitting them this weekend so will give you guys the low-down.

I've fitted one to my previous S4. A full turbo back system. For the price.. awesome. A bit of a pain to fit though, things not lining up correctly etc, but I'll be buying one soon for my new S4.
I did do a write up on either here or Audisrs.com can't remember where.

Ok, fitted the exhaust today and I have to say it fits really well. The best fit for an aftermarket exhaust I have ever seen. Will post some pix soon. The exhaust note is pretty mellow and at cruise speeds (80-ish) is barely noticeable. There is a slight resonance at 60, but not annoying. When I nail it, it makes a very nice noise - without being overly offensive. Bit of a sleeper, still.
Power-wise, I cannot detect any noticeable gain. Would need to rolling road the car to see whether it made any difference. I guess the next job will be a cat-bypass system, but looking underneath the car it seems the cats are a bit of a nightmare to reach. Not sure I fancy tackling them yet...

So far, only the cat-back. Might do the cat delete system soon, but not liking the look of where the turbos are and how tight it all is up there!
