how wide are they?

The B5 S4 standard wheels are 7.5" wide and ET45 and you should be trying to keep it as close to this as possible for best handling. However if the wheels are wider you will need to lower the offset to make them fit, as they'll hit the suspension knuckle, on the rear especially!

You might get away with a 5mm spacer if they're 8" wide, depending on tyre choice, or you may have to use a 10mm one. I'd try to keep the spacer as thin as possible though, to keep it handling properly!

thanks for the response. the width is 8inches. ive heard they will not clear the front caliper is what the problem is. i was planning on running a 235/40 but i also have access to 245/40 for cheap. i doubt the 245 will fit especially with the spacers
