Hi chaps,
Just wondered if a car that has averaged just under 5k miles a year (at 9 years old) but has had 5 owners, should it raise any suspicions at all?

Mileage sounds very very low for an S/T reg car.

Can't imagine there were 5 owners who only used it as a weekend car.

Don't suppose it's being sold in the Swindon area is it?

Yeah, that was my thinking too.
It's actually on a 'V', not in Swindon though I don't think.

Only asking because there were a few clocked examples being sold from around the Swindon area a few months back.

You'd want to see full service history and MOT's to check the mileage out. HPI report wouldn't hurt either, but very unlikely they will show the mileage on a car of this age.

Were not all dodgy in the Swindon Area........

5 owners is ok. Mileage is low yes, but do some detective work. Ring Audi, see if they know the car, Look at reciepts, see if there are phone numbers of previous owners. Ring them! Ask them how long they had the car and why they sold etc etc....

Cheers guys,
I did give Audi a call about it earlier in the week and their records tally with the info given. Though there seemed to be the occasional two year gap between (Audi) services.
The only other issue is no Bose (no real biggie).

Mines on a V and im the 5th Owner.

That was typical of most of the ones i looked at and some of the RS4's i looked at had had more. I just put it down to the cost of running these B5's and people move them on quite quickly?

The number of owners isn't unusual for a 9 year old car. It's the combination of the nuber of owners and the mileage.

A friend of mine has a very low mileage L reg M5. Reason it's low mileage? It had been rolled and sat in a yard for a few years before it was reshelled! Check the Audi history to see if there was a particularly big gap in terms of miles/year.
