I know its not big or clever.........but

Came across an S5 on the M40 this afternoon, in black and it looked awesome. I was making more 'progress' and it moved over to let me by, all very civilised. I came off at the Handycross junction heading on to the A404 towards the M4 and saw it behind and with a bit of lane swapping during the roundabout it ended up in front of me. I was mildly gutted that we hadn't both been at the front of the last set of lights before the main A404. However.... the majority of the dual carriageway was moving along nicely but in no rush, so I settled in nicely behind not too close etc. Got to the next roundabout to find ourselves without further hindrance in front and he went, well it would have been rude not too ;) Had a massive smile on my face as I had to back off on a few occasions as it turns out not only could he not get away but was actually slower! So thankyou MRC, my humble 8 year old estate car took a new V8 to school in every sense. I love my S4, by the way this the first time I have driven in a decent drag against anything decent and I now know that the result is as expected bearing in mind power to weight etc...

how much power has your s4 got?
Why do they call it rush hour when nothing moves!?!

Standard S4, but not for long.

Easy to get carried away, I'd take it easy.

Best way to prove is on a track, at least, no risk of getting collared by Babylon Boyz.

I got pulled over at the M4 end 6am one morning, allegedly I'd done the whole stretch at over double the speed limit but I know I was only doing 59.9mph. I got a slapped wrist...

I had the same thing driving from glasgow down to manchester, luckily id borrowed my mums sat nav (after my work van was broken into and my brand new tomtom 910go was nicked)
Coppers stopped me on the m6, asked me to explain myself and claimed id been driving at "at least 140"
Tripped himself up though as he then went on to say he had to go at 140 to catch up with me, to which i said that if id been going at 140 hed have been going the same speed and would not have caught up with me.
When showed him my sat nav "max speed" showing 71mph, average speed and total miles travelled he instantly appologised and went on his way.
Lucky my throttle body boot was burst otherwise i may have been going faster :bigwave:

So you got pulled for doing a maximum speed of 71? And the police wonder why they get bad press...

I was caught speeding once, a week after getting the S4.
Copper used a very similar argument, ie: "I had to do 90mph to catch you up" and implied I must have been going a similar speed. I had only been doing 60 on a 50 road which used to be national speed limit.
