Exhaust help

Post by matias » Sun Aug 10, 2008 9:21 am

My set up is:

2,8 NA heads
RS4/RS6 turbo
Everything is RS4 parts.. Intake, Y-pipe, Intercooler, ect ect.

Costum map to 1,45 bar..

My exhaust is: De-catted RS4 downpipe but with the big cat, and then OEM RS4 system..

I know that I would get some more power with a better system, but dosen want a lot of noise...Or my wife dosent  ...

Would I get more power if I change the OEM RS4 main cat to some 200 cell sportscat?

RS4 cat is 200 cell so can't think changing just for cat is going to give you anything to write home about. What about a different cat back system. I have the Milltek like many others. It's supposed to give extra HP but I remain sceptical and if it does I don't think it's that great. I am not sure it's worth the extra money with the power you must already be getting IMHO.

I would fit a milltek 2.5in duel system. It will flow more than the standard system.

If you want a system that will flow enough for really big power email MRC as they do a 3in duel .This is a full system but very noisy.
