gearbox whineing

hi all.iv got a problem with my gearbox 2 gear upto 5th at over 2000rpm i get a whine seems to be getting louder.cars on 100.000 is it worth changing the oil in gearbox and diffs.if so what oil is best.

Well I would say it was deffinately worth the oil change.
Certainly before you decide to change any box.
I don't know what oil to put in, but i'll be able to tell you in about 4 hours when the post comes. Just ordered a service manual.

just call audi with your chassis number they will supply you the correct oil
