Avant rear spring replacement

Have a broken rear spring, is it easy to replace?

The upright is very easy to remove, I'd say around 20 mins all in. I think you will need to use a spring compressor (not sure cos on some cars you don't have to)

on that one, it looks like top bolt on the Y shaped arm may have been loosened at some time, as its pointing down.... its normally sits more horisontal.... and when you take the whole lot out you can smack the paint on the lip of the wheel arch.... maybe loosen it and a bit of 2" masking tape round the arch, if you want to go ott.


yes you do need a spring comp, the bottom bolt will kick.... 20mins? on a ramp with everything there.... a bit longer at home, a fair bit rolling round the floor and that. as with all things have the copper slip, and the plus-gas ready.
