Front Tyres worn on inside edges

Just checking round the car and noticed that the inside edges of the front tyres are worn down more that the outside edges (3mm inside and 5mm on the outside). Car has covered about 7k on these tyres.
Is this a common problem on the S4 ?
The car has been lowered if that makes a difference
Thanks

I get the same problem since my car's been lowered too, I was running on Avon ZZ3's at the time. So i changed to Michelin PS2's and so far so good. I'm not saying it wont happen on the PS2's but it's not as noticeable yet after a good few k miles.....I think it's a common thing though once you lower your car?!

Thanks for the reply. If it was the lowering that was casusing it wouldn't it affect the back as well ?
I suppose i should get the geometry checked on the front and see if there is a problem there.

I'm no expert on this, so this is just IMO....It happens to the front more so because of the weight at the front? It will affect the back but only very slightly as there's not so much weight so the camber of the wheels wont be as much. I've put my car through four geometry/alignment checks over the 4 years of ownership and it still hasn't got rid of the inside tyre wear......Until i changed tyre brand and now it's taking longer to notice, better rubber i suppose!! What tyres do you use?
I'm sure a few other members can help out on this one

Pretty common, even with std suspension.

You've got decent tyres then. So like Nige said it's a common thing, i've put up with it now for 4 years, you get used to it...

Sounds like its a common thing with the S4. I'll get the alignment checked and see if it makes a difference

Mine have always worn on the outside edges - is that the same problem?
Guy at the tyre place said that was normal too.

That'll be down to bushes there is no camber adjustment on the s4's although there will be more negative after coilies have been fitted h+r's to mine yesterday might fit camber shims to sort mine out as its running a lot of camber now.
