Hi.

As some of you may know, I sprint my S4 in the South.

Last time out at Collerne, half way round, I felt that the power was down. It kind of felt 'flat'.

Got home and put VAG COM on, and the following showed up:

1 Fault found:
17965 - Charge Pressure Control: Positive deviation P1557 - 35-00 - -

I'm not too sure if I can get up to see Doug up at MRC before my next event.

Any thoughts on what could be causing this DTC code.

I think the positive deviation is overboosting (would make sense), which would send the car into limp mode.

This could be a fault with the N75. Alternatively, it could be a boost leak.

Can you get it pressure tested before the next event?

I have my own pressure tester which I use prior to every event, although I haven't had much time since Collerne.

I am hoping that it is just an air pressure issue but just wanted to get some comment from the forum. You know what it's like, somebody will say that code tells you that the xyz valve is down.

I obviously need to make time sooner rather than later to carry out the test.
