RS4 FRONT BRAKE CONVERSION.

Hi guys.
Just want to know if this conversion, fitting RS4 (B5) front discs and calipers is any good, or worth while?
Do you notice a big difference when fitted?

Ive done it and it makes a huge difference compaired to the standard S4 set up. HTH

If your going to upgrade your brakes go with stoptechs. )I havent personally had them on my car but i was a couple buddies with two S4s did a compare and contrast on the Stoptechs against the porschs 996 brakes on an S4 and the stoptechs had better stopping.

PLUS Stoptechs fit under Std wheels - RS4's require 18" wheels at additional expense if you hadn't already changed them.

i might be interesteed in this "Stoptechs" mod myself, as would like to keep the original 17" avus wheels.
anyone got the details for Stoptechs ??

Are the RS4 B5 brakes a straight fit onto the S4 ?

They are a straight fit on the s4 , not sure about space under the 17in wheels .

Those will not fit with the 17" wheels. I have tried it with a stock S4 wheel, and it would need at least 2 mm more space to the caliper.

Just won some RS4 front brakes on ebay.
What to fit some braided front brake hoses. Does anyone know which ones to buy? S4 saloons or A4 Quattro Est/ RS4. Just need the fronts. Am running on 19" RS6 rep. Thanks in advance

The RS4 lines are already braided so I have been told and the RS4 brakes are good upgrade (well they were for me as I upgraded from 1.8T brakes).
