Facelift splish-splosh

Guys

Driving my S4 yesterday, round corners I could hear some kind of tidal wave of water going back and forth, in front of the dash.

Slightly worried, looked in my rear view mirror and saw a trail of liquid from where I had just been.

The battery shelf (with the plasticy facelift cover etc) at the back of the engine bay fills up with rain water when the car is parked... Then slowly dumps it from somewhere when driving.

So I ask, where is the drain to let the rain water out?

Cheers

there is a drain rubber for your balk head just below where the battery sits

poke it out and let it flow.

Quite important to empty that and stop it from happening again, because if the water level rises to the level of the pollen filter then you will end up with a flooded interior! The one on the drivers side is behind the servo on the side of the heater hoses. I've just done mine.

Which you ALWAYS do because of your insurance, right?

If you've got a garage it is always worth getting a quote for driveway parking at the same time, the price might not change that much and you never know!
