s8 rear brake upgrade

since everyone has been talking about upgrades. Can you do this with a standard facelift rear caliper or not. what parts are required. i have a wrapped rear disc and would like to upgrade.

The facelift rear S4 caliper does the job.
According to the Audiworld article (
http://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/1716040.phtml ), the S8 parts required are :-
Disc: 8E0 615 301B,
Carrier: 4D0 615 425C
You'll need 2 of each, of course.

try un wrapping them..they mite work better...merry xmas..

well i did wrap it against a kerb after spinning on black ice if that counts.......

The discs are expensive, it's the caliper mounts that are the pricey bit.

@woodsup - yes, you can pick the discs up for as little as £20 for the solid ones.
As Jeff says, it's the calipers which are a bit pricey, but they're a one-off purchase.

Sorry, that should read...
The discs aren't expensive, it's the caliper carriers that are the pricey bit.....just get my coat !
