looked like an oil feed its actually a breather of some kind, centre diff is also slightly different and there is an extra hole next to the crank sensor at the bellhousing on the facelift[clean]box

pre facelift has the extra hole i should say...was unused though

extra large shoehorn....not really any special tools required came out quite easy compared to similar engines i have worked on,can do an engine swap on a 300zxtt in about 8 hours now after plenty of practise in the past, thats very similar layout to the audi, although the audi has about 2 million more vac pipes and wires

got carried away, now turned into a complete engine rebuild, new rods pistons, bearings, flowed manifolds, bores honed ready for new pisons, there is virtually no bore wear at 160k
