ok, i need a spare key fob for peace of mind but my S4 is a pre facelift so came with a 2 button fob. There are a few 3 button (facelift) fobs on ebay but no 2 button ones. Now, the part numbers are very similar so can i use a 3 button fob on my pre facelift car? Dont really want to pay £160 at a stealers!!

cheers

not sure but there is a good chance the MHz signal will be different so no amount of coding will get it to work. Have you tried scrap yard? they usually have keys for the cars that are brought in. My local one has a massive tub that can be searched if can find one then can get a blank key section on ebay and swap it over ready to be cut and coded

2 and 3 button fobs run on the same frequency. 3-button fobs from 2000> changed to rolling codes though.
