New exhaust

Twin 3" downpipes with no pre-cats. Single 100 cpsi race cat on each downpipe. Twin 3" tips. Resonator to ensure that city driving is only barely louder than the stock system. Wonderful urgent sound when on high boost. Deeper, non-bumblebee-in-a-tunnel tone.

This isn't just any exhaust. This is rik's new exhaust.

:D   :D

I'm sure I'll give a better description, etc once I've had my bearing fixed on Wednesday. At the moment I'm trying to avoid lots of torque, turning forces and bumps and holes in the road, so, I've not really been excercising it.

Yes, it's started...

Have you gone for a dual system ? Is it custom made ?

It's an SKN tuning system. I'm not actually 100% sure if it was custom made or not, since I'm not actually the first owner. It has been broken in for about 3,000 miles by dodgydave. It does drop to a single 4 inch pipe after the cats, for the two mufflers before switching back to a pair of 3" tips.

Original exhaust at the top, made entirely from rust. New exhaust at the bottom sans downpipes. The downpipes are the same width as the pair of pipes on the right - 3 inches. So, no, it's not a dual system, really.

What has Dodgydave upgraded to, to be replacing this Rikrose?

He upgraded his turbos form K04s to K16s, and needed an even larger exhaust system.

Interesting looking pipe

I like my Milltek Dual it is just about right all round. Not loud at all around town and goves me a little 'semi' when I boot it ..... nice!

a little 'semi'
You sure you want to be admitting that publicly ..?

Little.... ah well that depends on the definition of little.

I can still see forward relatively unobscured (or should I say unknobscured) with a little semi

It takes more than 'a pipe' to get a big semi..... erm er I think that calls for a MAAAAATRON!

That reminds me I need to do some web research............!

looks like the system that I had made for my car. 3" down pipes with 2.5 dual to the first box the 3.5 single pipe to the back box with 1 tail pipe.

Sorry, JDB - I agreed to take it a month ago, and we've only just got around to sorting it. If you ge tin contact with him quick, he's got a nice, quiet stock system there. Downpipes only cut a little bit in half...
