Fitting my wheels.....

Going from Ads4 said in my other post....
Am i going to have issues with fitting/rubbing ?
They are BBS LM Replicas ET35 19x8.5J. Having 235/35/19 tyres fitted.
Having a 20mm drop as well.
Have H&R 10mm spacers.
This is a test fit with my spare universal 10mm spacers. The longer bolts i have need about 3/4 rows cut off as there not fully tighting up. The space between the caliper and wheel is about 3/4mm. Discs and pads are new (4 months)

I would say yes.
I would recommend fitting B5 RS4 brakes and ditching the spacers. The brakes will give you loads of clearance and a worthwhile upgrade.
If you want to go further with brakes, don't use the B7 RS4 disc's, use the RS6 ones with brackets to relocate the RS4 caliper and again give better clearance.

I'm sure you only need 5mm spacers per side... ET35 I think is the same as my B6 wheels!

8.5j is really wide, mine are almost outside the arches. Are you planning to get the arches rolled?

I can't see you having any real issues. I had exactly the same size dimension wheels on my
A4 and didn't have any rubbing issues and I was running H&R coilovers with a much bigger drop than
20mm. ET35 is spot on for 8.5J wide wheels on our cars and should clear big calipers without having to
use spacers.
Are the dimensions for the standard rims 17" ET45 and 7.5J ?

I was only saying he will have problems also running 10mm spacers. 8.5" and 35mm offset should be fine

I defo need spacers... I've tried fitting without them and the wheel spokes hit the caliper.
I'm going to get my mate to skim down my spare spacers to 5mm and see how that works

Adam, I had terrible probs with wheels and off-sets. It seems that certain wheels with certain off-sets are not too similar. I bought 18" RS4 reps on a 35et and they didn't clear the standard caliper, so i bought 8mm spacers. The tyres then scrubbed all the time so i went with H&R coilovers and also bought some 35et 19" rims (8.5J). These scrubbed too, even with the arches rolled, unless i set them so high that i felt they were higher than on original springs (ie an allroad!). IMHO 8.5J wheels are too much on 19s without rubbing issues. With spacers you're asking for probs. Up-grade your brakes if you can...there's less of a clearance issue on the B7 RS4 caliper...my B7 reps cleared them fine but not the standard caliper

Did you get your kit from MRC ?
I can get a pair of calipers for £614 delivered. How much are the discs ?
What do they go for 2nd hand ?

Unfortunally, i haven't got a spare £1.4k so will have to do with spacers and rolled arches

Your right Mark, 10mm spacers with wheels ET35 and 8.5J will mean that the wheels protrude from the arches.

how much do the wheels touch without the spacers..can you do what russboy did and shaved some metal from his calipers..
