Looks about right to me. The advert tells you plenty about the car (still amazed some people don't talk about MOT or tax) and gives you a good indication of the condition. Price looks about right (market prices seem to be about £800 more than Parkers at the moment) and I don't think I'd go any lower at this stage.

Might be worth mentioning that it's got climate control (I assume it has) and any other extras. If the tyres are in good condition (i.e. plenty of tread left), worth mentioning those and if you've had any major work (i.e. what was the £1k you spent) like brakes etc tell people about it.

Good luck with the sale :)

Looks like a great deal to me with the recent work done,,only consideration is the cloth interior may be a "marmite" consideration for some buyers on an S4, I certainly prefer it to some of the Alcantara interiors I have seen.
2000 B5 S4 facelift, sadly missed...enjoying the 2005 A2 TDi Special Edition though!

Looks like a cheap, honest car to me. Good luck with the sale.

I'll probably not mention it as I'm looking to get a B6 S4 and will would probably transfer it but if someone really wanted it, I'd probably leave it since I'm not overly bothered about it!

Thanks for the comments folks.

Price looks right. If you have a problem selling it, it will be because of the cloth interior unfortunately. Apart from buying a leather interior and fitting it (much cheaper and easier than it sounds - bearing in mind a leather interior from any B5 A4 will fit) there isn't anything you can do about this.

Yes, I thought about that but the cheapest I've seen is about 600 quid which I don't really think is worth it. Most of the leather interiors of that age are wrinkly and manky anyway!!
