Just thought I'd share some photos after recently mounting the OZ SLs with 225/40/18 S-03s. Image

That photo is actually at my wife's aunt's house, though our new drive is also flat/level and much easier on the car. Image

As for the cargo box ... I had the two labs in back for my trip from texas to arizona, so extra space was needed. I only run the box when absolutely necessary ... and usually on my wife's Scoobie.

Here are a couple more photos with the RocketBox, just to get yer panties bunched. Image

19s fit, no problem ... but they don't offer any benefit over 18s aside from aesthetics (and even that's arguable). I almost went with 19s, but they were considerably more expensive and, at least on American roads, much more suceptable to damage.

Great looking wheels!
I gather these are lighter than 17" Avus.
Have you noticed any difference in handling or the "feel" of the car?

Didn't think I was that worried about Nogaro, ( sorry you nogaro guys ) but these pictures could change ones mind s

You are worried about 19s on US roads, you need to see the roads over here, I suspect much of the wheel problems are the poor state of the roads. Number plate is

Thanks Mika ... and yes, you absolutely feel the difference as the 18" SLs are 17 lbs compared to OE 17" Avus, which are 27 lbs! That's 10 lbs of unsprung weight savings (offset slightly by heavier 18" tires). The first time I drove the car after mounting the new shoes I was shocked at just how perceptable the difference was ... the car feels more lithe and spry.

Exhaust is stock ... Milltek is in order when the funds for a Stage II upgrade are rounded up. Funny you ask, though, as even my dealer asked what exhaust I was running as I pulled up the other day. I told him it was stock, but he said it sounded deeper and looked different ... I don't detect/see either, but it's okay with me.

As for the number plate ... I'll be getting a new one shortly since I'm not in Texas any longer. Am keeping the new one hush hush until it's approved and on the way, but MADWAGN (7 letters allowed in AZ) is actually my 3rd choice this go 'round.

And Kingfisher ... I can't imagine your roads are worse than some places over here. TX and AZ are actually pretty good, but in states that get wintr weather -- like Colorado (my home state and a place I visit frequently) -- or cities with terrible street maint. like Chicago and NY, the roads eat wheels like chewing gum.
