MRC Tuning  www.mrctuning.com

I know it's not north east, but there's nothing near you, unless you go north up into Scotland and visit Star Performance www.starperformance.co.uk

Ring the most local ones to you and ask them if they can pressure test, check dv's & Maf.

Jase - yes, I go to MRC. I haven't used Star Performance but have heard good reports about them and they can certainly do that work for you.

I'm in the Leeds are - which part of the "north east" are you?

I used quattronics just off the A1 near Newark and found them to be really helpful and knowledgable and they have all the kit required. They sorted my car out when I first bought it and it had problems with Maf,dv's and a leaking hose on the turbo system. Website is www.quattronics.co.uk 01636 822288 ask for
Corey.

Another good recommendation, but a long way off "north east" - where are you Jase??

True Clive, but they were the nearest I could find to myself just east of Selby [about 40ish miles to quattronics] that knew what they would be checking and had the right equipment. [York Audi failed dismally.... they did wash the car mind? ]. Corey found the faults straight away. I guess it depends on how far 'north' jase is.

I would say that it's worth going the extra distance to find someone who knows the S. It's also about trust, go somewhere you're confident they'll look after your car and know what they're doing!

Star Performance may be marginally closer to you then.

Either independent specialist may seem like a long way to go, and you could nip down to sunny West Yorkshire for a pressure test, Vagcom scan, etc, but there's nothing like the peace of mind of a proper health check and, for £50, it's money well spent IMHO.
