Allready posted this on audifans.net, but think here would be more pros.
Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum and this is my first post...
I am from Finland and for some reason very intrested in S4 (b5) audis.
So here is the case:
http://eng.autoscout24.com/home/index/d ... 12500&zip=
I have been changing e-mails with the seller and he is proposing a shipment with
http://www.world-w-cargo-delivery.com/ Has anyone any experience on that company or what would be even better if anyone is from around London and could give him a call and ask about the car or even go and take a look at the car. Is it for real etc. (The location on autoscout is Brussels, but he says he is in London at the moment).
Thank you fellows.

Welcome to the forum.
The colour of the car in the pictures doesn't look very violet?
I hope there is someone in London who can take a look at it for you...

I think the car is Merlin Purple, which is a rare colour to find an S4 in, does he give an indication of which part of London he is in at present and if the car is over here with him ??
Cheers
Mike

You are very active, thats good.
Yes, the car should be there in London (and should be registered to belgium), but unfortunately i don't know which part of the city.
The reason i am also asking is that this almost sounds "too good to be true" and if anyone has heard about the shipping company above, is it reliable etc.

If it sounds too good to be true, it normally is too good to be true. IMO

Im from London,
If its not too far from me I may go take a look if time allows.
Try and find out what area its in.
It is a bit suspect. Why advertise the car from Belgium in a current advert if its in London. Strange that.

With the price of a flight and a cheap weekend away surely it would make sense to go on a buying trip and mix business with pleasure. Fly over and take a look at the car and if you like it drive it back. If it's a scam then at least you know and can drink lots of beer and fly home.

Ok, Just wrote an e-mail to seller and now waiting if i can get an answer for more accurate location.
The reason for having car there was that he has a wife from London and he is now living there with her
And to dazzer => Yes, that would also be worth doing, since i have never visited UK... Ryanair has cheap flights to Stansted...
But due to having travelling elsewhere this would not fit in my schedule for the next few weeks...
but can buy you a few beers also if you are able help

If I can help then I will gladly help you. I work in Slough during the wee so if it's close then I can maybe check it out and run some diagnotics on it. There may be others here who may consider helping you. Then at least you can have an idea if it's worth a flight and copious amounts of beer

As above "too good to be true"...
Got another reply, let me know if i violate against any law or rule by copying it here:
"
Now , the car and all the papers is deposited at the company. Someone wanted
the car but he changed his mind in the last moment-he found another car. I
have paid the fees and now i am kind of forced to use this shipping company
to sell it.
if i take the car back from them i will lose the shipping fees i paid and
plus i have a contact with them that i cannot brake.
You don't pay for the ship.
All you pay is 6600 EUR for the car and nothing more.
The company will arrange all the documents including the selling contract"
Anyone heard about the company and could it be checked if the car exists there or not?

WTF £4K! Pekka I hope I'm wrong but this does not sound right at all, so he booked space on a container to ship the car and that has fallen through. So what he still owns the car I don't understand what he is saying here and you will have to spend a little more time on this to see if it is honest.
I have paid the fees and now i am kind of forced to use this shipping company o sell it. If i take the car back from them i will lose the shipping fees i paid and plus i have a contact with them that i cannot brake.
Sounds like B******t to me!

Yep, unfortunately that response once he found out you could have someone check it out really makes it look like a scam, which is most certainly is.

That's shouting scam all over it.
Similar to the ebay scams often run
