Skinny downpipes and Cats begone with you!

Just come back from MRC where i've had some nice shiny new Milltek downpipes installed - they have NO pre-cats and NO cats! Just straight-through 2.75" pipes that mate via link pipes (included) to the 3" Milltek cat-back that i've had for some while now...

What a difference they make: the car 'breathes' significantly better now and the power difference is superb at above 4.5~5K revs through the gears - truly awesome!

Sounds great too: not too loud but a definite bass-rumble is present and a real throaty roar when revving...

Best of all: they're only £200 each (excl VAT) !! Apparently Milltek have only just started making these and Doug has got a few sets in ... so if anyone is interested then you'd best be quick, plague him with phone-calls and secure yourself a set ...

Saw these earlier this week when I paid a visit to Doug's emporium, I'd be interested to hear this system at the RWYB, weather permitting.

No, sorry - i was a bit of a knob and forgot to take my camera

Don't think they'd mate straight to the standard exhaust unless you got some reducing link pipes ... (possibly)

If a Miltek cat back mates to a stock cat, then these new miltek down pipes and cat bypass pipes must end with the same interface as a stock cat with which to fit the Miltek catback. My logic says these would fit a stcok exhaust, but either way it's a question I'd like an answer to.

Can the link pipes be swapped out with cats at MOT time or is a complete downpipe change required?

Have you an increase in max maf reading Julian?

Is taht £200+vat per downpipe or for the pair?

I'll be doing cat-less down-pipes and 100 cell race cat and back. wide as possible.

but later...

Glad to see youve done it mate.

Do you find that your turbo's spool up a tad quicker also and you have like 10% to 15% extra kick low down when you put your foot down?

hen I had my decat I noticed a difference low down all the way up to the top of the rev range.

2.75 inch isnt bad. And for that price too. Did they come with flexis?

How would you describe the percentage increase in the deepening of the exhaust note?
