Silver s4/ i bought it.

Post by noccy » Tue Apr 03, 2007 9:29 pm

Ok it was meant to be thursday that i looked at the s4 but a change of work plans meant i drove 3 hours today to meet the nicest private seller i have ever encountered.
Yes a deal was struck and i am now almost the proud owner of a silver s4.
I'm collecting the car friday week. It's a six hour drive to the chaps house so i'll probably fly.
I'll be like a 7 year old waiting for santa until next week!

Oh ya my wife doesn't care what size engine it has, she loves it!

Thanks guys.
Totally standard, new dunlop tyres, fash, 81,000, all belts done at 76,000, black leather all the extra's except sat nav. It's a saloon same tyre on spare wheel from new.
The guy let me ring both garages that serviced the car, they said it was as good as you'd get.
The colour looks even better in the flesh.

For peace of mind (read: turbo life and performance) it may be wise to try and get a health-check for things like DVs, TBB and f-hose - pressure test should reveal any boost leaks and vag-com check for alarms if you're near anyone who has these tools ...

I,m in the south of ireland so these cars are very rare. I've only ever seen one in my local town.
Will audi carry out all these checks?
With it having it's belts done 3 months ago wouldn't all these things have been checked.
It certainly drove well, a lot better than my current fiat coupe turbo.

No dude.... dealers are stealers....... they open yr wallet and rape it deeply......!!
Plus most of the guys are plugs and filter guys with the audi flag an stamp behind them....!

You most definately need to take it to someone who knows there <beep> on these cars, undoubtedly the VAG 1552 analyzer will show up the faults etc.... but just read all the posts

So u got silver.... its the fastest colour...(sorry 2 minhea & leon :bigblink: ) silver rocks even with poor paint..(mine) and yrs... sounds a goodun... welcome

Speak to FlashyG..... he's over yr side of the water, so he may throw some garages to visit yr way..... and as that sl :D g satan said.... welcome to open wallet country... or should that be empty wallet country :nodder:

Welcome aboard noccy, there'll be plenty of fun time's ahead you might struggle a bit with one performance tip in a saloon ..... lying the back seats flat but at least leathers wipe clean

Actually I was just relaying one of satan's tips ............... although I think they only reason he mentioned it was because it makes getting into his gimp suit easier :assflash:

I think Chip's on about the performance mod discussed elsewhere: if you lie your back seats flat your car weighs less ...
